Council is operated by AXIWSLLC. This policy explains what information we collect when you use Council, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information. Contact: axiwslimited@gmail.com
Account information: Display name, email address (optional), and a
hashed password (optional — passwordless access is supported).
Invite attestation: The "votive truth" you optionally write during
signup is stored as an attestation record linked to your account. This is voluntary.
Session data: A 90-day session cookie identifying your logged-in state.
No persistent tracking cookies are set beyond this.
Platform activity: $VOTIVE transactions, bounty claims, stream participation,
quiz responses, and content you publish through the platform.
IP address: Logged briefly for geo-gating (US-only access enforcement)
and standard server security. Not retained for profiling.
Third-party observation data: Species occurrence data displayed in the Zoo
comes from iNaturalist and GBIF. We do not store this data — it is fetched in real time
from their public APIs.
We do not collect biometric data, health records, financial account information, Social Security numbers, or government-issued ID. We do not run advertising trackers or sell your data to third parties. We do not use your data to train AI models without explicit consent.

— To display your contributions in the platform feed and cosmos
— To enforce US-only geographic access restrictions
— To send transactional communications (invite confirmations, password reset) if you provide an email
— To improve platform features based on aggregate, anonymized usage patterns
We do not sell, rent, or broker your personal data. Data may be shared only in
these limited circumstances:
Service providers: AWS (hosting infrastructure, US-based). Data does
not leave US-based AWS regions.
Legal requirements: If required by valid legal process, court order,
or to protect the safety of users or the public.
Your public activity: Content you publish (stream posts, bounty contributions,
cosmos seat information) is visible to other logged-in council members per platform design.
Account data is retained for the life of your council seat. Session data expires after 90 days of inactivity. You may request deletion of your account and associated personal data at any time (see Section 8).
Council is served exclusively over HTTPS (TLS). Passwords are hashed using Django's default PBKDF2 algorithm. The platform is invite-only with US geo-gating enforced at both the CDN (Cloudflare WAF) and application layer. $VOTIVE transactions are recorded as immutable attestation logs.
You have the right to:
— Access the personal data we hold about you
— Correct inaccurate information
— Delete your account and personal data (note: $VOTIVE transaction
records may be retained in anonymized form for ledger integrity)
— Export your data in a portable format
— Withdraw consent for optional data collection (e.g. votive truth attestations)

We use one session cookie to maintain your logged-in state (90-day expiry). We do not use advertising cookies, analytics trackers, or third-party pixels. Disabling cookies will prevent login but does not affect public pages.
Council is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us immediately for removal.
We may update this policy as the platform evolves. Material changes will be communicated to active members via the platform stream. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
